The Wagner Flexio 570 paint sprayer is a decent beginning level paint sprayer. The sprayer has a reservoir capacity from where the paint is pulled from, unlike more advanced sprayers that uses tubes to suck up the paint. It is nice to have the ability to be somewhat cable free, but you are still constricted by the power cord. The reservoir is a decent size holding 1.5 quarts of paint.

The sprayer also has an iSpray nozzle, that can be altered to fit the projects needs. The nozzle can be changed to shoot either vertical or horizontal and the trigger can be set to release more or less paint. The sprayer can be very easily taken apart to be cleaned easier.

Some details of the sprayer are:

  • Sprays unthinned interior and exterior latex paints, stains, sealers, urethanes and oil-based materials.
  • X-Boost power settings to match project needs.
  • Up to 7.2 gallons per hour production.
  • Lock-n-Go system for color change and clean up.
  • Pattern adjustment ring and spray width lever for wide and narrow patterns (iSpray nozzle).
  • Covers an 8 inch x 10 inch surface in 2-6 minutes

What we liked:

  • The cost of the Wagner is much more affordable than an advanced sprayer
  • The ability to switch from horizontal to vertical and capability to change the amount of paint being sprayed.
  • Small and easy to control / handle sprayer.
  • iSpray nozzle is made of parts that do not wear easy and helps to extend sprayers life

What we disliked:

  • The reservoir needed to be refilled several times and caused more of a mess than an advanced sprayer would cause.
  • The iSpray nozzle would spray fine, but any break, more than 5 minutes would cause the nozzle to clog and need cleaned to stop from chunks of paint being sprayed.
  • Difficult to clean, even though nozzle and barrel come apart pretty easy.
  • The power cord is not super long which almost needs to have an extension cord unless an outlet is on same wall as painting.

Wagner makes great products that definitely do last the test of time. The Flexio 570 is a sprayer that is geared towards a beginning sprayer. The cost is quite a bit more affordable than a more advanced sprayer, but also lacks the efficiency of those models which is why it is more affordable. For a beginning sprayer the Flexio 570 does have a lot of unique features, but there are also other Wagner sprayers that may be a better choice if you do a lot of paint spraying. Overall this sprayer is very good for a beginner, but if you are experienced in spraying you may want to look for a sprayer that is more efficient.

7.2 A good paint sprayer for beginners

The Wagner Flexio 570 is a good paint sprayer that is geared toward the beginning paint sprayer. If you are looking to take the jump from rolling and brushing to spraying this may be the sprayer you want to look at. The cost of this is something you would expect to pay for a beginner sprayer and definitely has some unique controls. It is not as fast as more advanced sprayers, but the cost reflects that. The cord holds you back without an extension cord and the reservoir holds over a quart of paint but can make it a little messier clean up then what would be expected with an advanced sprayer.
